I had to fly into Utah earlier this week for a work offsite up in Heber. My flight was at 6:15 am out of Oakland, which meant I had to be in an Uber at 4:15 am. It was... not ideal. However, flying in so early did afford me some gorgeous views coming in over the Stansbury and Antelope Islands of The Great Salt Lake, as well as some eye popping looks at the Salt Marshes that lay between it and the Airport. I've always loved these weird colors, bizarre grids, and insane textures.
While I couldn't catch this on my iphone, a truly magical moment was spotting a small heard of Antelope running at speed across the salt flats at the edge of the lake, casting long shadows in the early morning sun.
